Collection: Morash Tingley, Nancy

Born in Lunenburg, Nancy Morash Tingley started oil painting in the seventies in Amherst, N.S. In 1980, Nancy's move to Halifax opened many opportunities for her. Her teachers were the late Peter Sherwood and Jeannie Edmonds Hancock, great painters, teachers and mentors. Today, she paints in acrylics and watercolors.

Artist Statement

I try to portray the beauty and light of nature, whether it is still life, flowers, or landscape. My favorite is still life because I can control the light and beauty. I look forward to painting outside to capture the natural light and beauty of nature. I love acrylics and I tend to have a battle - a fun battle - with watercolour.
